What is it like to work at Encephalitis International?
Listen to our Chief Executive, Dr Ava Easton, talk about the benefits of working for our award-winning charity.
Trustee – international non-proft and/or health
Encephalitis International is seeking a Trustee to support with its international work. This might be a person with international non-profit/NGO experience and/or a person with experience of health and medicine on an international scale.
Overview of the role
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience of working within an international field in health and medicine and/or in the international non-profit/NGO field, and who will support and collaborate with members of the board and staff to build out the future blueprint for this area. This role is voluntary and unremunerated.
How can I contribute?
There is no need to have Trustee experience to apply, but a keen desire to support our work is essential. As a Trustee you will use your skills and experience to guide us through exciting times, shaping our international strategy alongside our governance, contributing to our strategic future and acting as an ambassador for all aspects of our work. As Trustee, we are looking to utilise your knowledge and experience across this area of expertise and provide the board with your recommendations and ideas. We may from time to time ask you to amend, update information and work with the wider team to bring this to life. We hold board meetings four times a year – a mix of weekend and evenings. Trustees are also expected to engage with the life of the charity from time-to-time, for example attending our events.
If you would like to find out more, please contact: Dr Ava Easton, Chief Executive, ava@encephalitis.info and please put ‘Trustee’ in the subject line of any email.
